Where Art & Community Meet
Welcome to the Courthouse Gallery+Studio, where creativity flourishes and community connections grow. Located in the heart of Portside precinct in Port Hedland, our Gallery is more than just an exhibition space; it’s a vibrant hub for artistic expression, cultural exchange, and community engagement.
Managed by The Junction Co. on behalf of the Town of Port Hedland, our mission is to strengthen community connection and cohesion through arts and culture, enhancing the skills, capabilities, and opportunities for local artists and creatives.
Our facility features various creative spaces, including a Maker’s Studio, Ceramics Studio, Photography Studio, and an Artist-in-Residence studio, supporting the ongoing development of creative enterprises and artistic practice.
Our floor-to-ceiling exhibition space showcases works from emerging and established artists from Hedland, the Pilbara, and beyond, highlighting the rich tapestry of local stories and culture.
We regularly host events, exhibition openings, workshops, and diverse programming designed to engage and inspire our community. The Courthouse Gallery+Studio is a welcoming destination for all, where diverse communities come together to be inspired, to learn, and to contribute.

With a strong background in marketing and communications, Ashleigh holds a Cert 4 in Business and is completing her Cert 4 in Marketing. Thrilled to be back in the Pilbara after living in Marble Bar and Carnarvon, she is eager to engage with the community. Her enthusiasm and dedication make her a valuable asset to our team, and we’re excited for the positive impact Ash brings to the Gallery.

Nicole is a self-taught artist and maker with an evolving passion for creativity. Having established her own successful business in 2015, she has a strong understanding of the artistic process and market trends. With extensive studio experience as an artist, coordinator and curator, Nicole shares her knowledge in everything she does, further showcasing her expertise and artistic vision.

ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT
With a strong background in working with young children, Rhiannon brings a creative approach and unique perspective to her role at the Gallery. In addition to her artistic talents, Rhiannon excels behind the scenes, including inventory management and administrative support, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Her dedication and multifaceted skills make her an invaluable asset to our team.

Tabitha, our dedicated Creative Practitioner, plays a vital role in the vibrant life of the Gallery. Tabitha assists with the day-to-day operations of the Gallery, ensuring a seamless and dynamic environment for all. With a flair for creativity and a passion for the arts, she skillfully runs engaging workshops that inspire and nurture artistic talents within the community.

As Creative Practitioner, Lisa plays a vital role in the vibrant life of the Gallery, assisting with the general operations from front of house, events, workshop facilitation and more. Ensuring a seamless and dynamic environment for all, Lias has a knack for artistic expression, and enjoys assisting with the delivery of the Gallery's creative workshops and watching the community flourish.
