Passage of Time

Ruth Lamb
Acrylic Paint

Passage of Time draws together moments of stillness, movement, and transformation within the ancient landscape of Karijini. Each painting marks a point along the journey, an entry, a pause, a gesture of guidance, a threshold, a descent. Together, they form a visual meditation on how land holds memory, how time shapes matter, and how presence deepens when we meet the world with attentiveness.

These works invite viewers to walk softly between rock and sky, to notice the threads that bind all things, and to recognise their own place within a story that began long before us. Passage of Time is both grounding and opening, a reminder that every encounter with the natural world is also an encounter with ourselves

About the Artist

Ruth Lamb

Mid West

English–Australian artist working across painting, mixed media, and ceramics, with over 25 years of experience teaching creative subjects including visual art, ceramics, textiles, and design. My work is informed by people, places, memory, and atmosphere, with a strong interest in layered surfaces, mark-making, and limited colour palettes. I view art as a way of thinking, feeling, and connecting. My studio practice blends intuition, playfulness, and reflection, and I am currently expanding into offering DNA Key Art Journeys-creative workshops that combine gentle guided mindfulness with expressive visual art-making
