William Upchurch is a Geraldton based artist in WA. His art practice ranges from portraiture on recycled swags to sgraffito on ceramics and digital illustration. Will’s artwork is inspired by his time in the Kimberley Region in Western Australia and explores narratives of one’s relationship with home. His work has been selected for several prestigious prizes such as The Lester Portrait Prize, The Jury Art Prize and won sections at the Mid West Art Prize. Outside of galleries, his engaging digital illustrations are featured across the Mid West and Perth through public art inititives and external public art galleries.
