Port Hedland is the Pilbara’s premier port and one of Western Australia’s key strategic industrial centres. Its population is increasing to keep pace with an accelerated resources output and production. It is a known fact that more services and physical infrastructure will be required to cater for this growing urban centre.

The West End is at the heart of Port Hedland’s social and business district, and it is the location for the town’s main cultural amenities, as well as being on the doorstep of the Port facilities. It is an historical as well as cultural centre, containing some significant older buildings which originated in the days when the town was still a pearling port.

Banger's Bungalow is a historic building next door to the Port Hedland Courthouse Gallery. Its recent refurbishment has seen it open its doors as a Business Centre designed to support new, visiting and existing businesses operating in Hedland. The facility provides a much-needed, short-term operational base dedicated to attracting new small and medium enterprises to town.

The Business Centre includes a board room with a projector and screen, two private office spaces available for short-term lease and business facilities including wifi, photocopier/scanner/printer, fax and landline phone connection.
